The Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services, located at the Frances Anderson Center, serves as the community's key resource for providing parks, open space, recreation programs and cultural arts for the enjoyment of Edmonds citizens and visitors to the community.

The Department plays a vital role in many aspects of community life, with staff liaisons to the Edmonds Library Board, the Edmonds Memorial Cemetery Board, the Planning/Parks Board, the Edmonds Youth Commission and the Edmonds Arts Commission. Click here for boards and commissions information.

Parks & Recreation Facility and Program Update

The City of Edmonds Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services Department appreciates and recognizes the physical and mental value of recreation, exercise and being outside. At this time ALL Parks and some recreation facilities are open.

As a City we remain committed to the safety of our community and urge park users who are eligible to get fully vaccinated and please stay home if you are sick.  


 The Frances Anderson Center, Meadowdale Clubhouse & Plaza Room are CLOSED  to the public due to the ongoing pandemic. Classes, programs and rentals are currently cancelled through October.


Edmonds Waterfront Center is OPEN for Edmonds Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services programming. Participants in programs at the Edmonds Waterfront Center are required to be fully vaccinated.


Yost Pool is OPEN for the lap swim and water walking through Cascade Swim Club. No reservations needed. $5 for Edmonds residents, $7 for non-residents. Schedule is subject to change, email for more information. 

The Hazel Miller Spray Park at City Park is CLOSED for the Season. 


Civic Park - CLOSED Due to Construction

  • Civic Park is closed for construction through Winter 2022.   We apologize for the inconvenience but look forward to the beautiful new park to enjoy when it is over. 

 Sports Fields

  • Sports Fields are open for drop in use.
  • Field rental requests are being accepted (425-771-0229 or and additional information about field rentals can be found on the rental page.

Picnic Shelters, City Park Pavilion and City Park Gazebo are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, water is not available.  

  • These amenities are available for reservation April - September; additional information can be found on the  facility rentals page.
