Passport Service Hours

THURSDAYS 

8:30AM - 11:30AM 

Passport processing is available Thursdays only from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The last walk-in appointment will be at 11:30 a.m. All passports must be processed by noon. Staff will post a sign once the line reaches that capacity.  

ROUTINE FEES

For Passport applications, Check or Money Order to be made payable to the U.S. Department of State. Acceptance fee is a separate payment (cash or debit/credit cards only - there is a $3 service fee for debit/credit cards).

ADULTS (16 yrs and older): $130.00 for Passport Book/ $30 for Passport ID Card/ $160 for both

  • Ages 16 to 17 must show parental awareness. Please refer to travel.state.gov for guidelines.

MINORS (15 yrs and under): $100.00 for Passport Book/ $15 for Passport ID Card/ $115 for both

  • Both parents (with ID) must be present to sign DS-11 OR one parent with a DS-3053 "Statement of Consent" form. Please refer to travel.state.gov for guidelines.
  • If renewing a minor's Passport, current or expired Passport, as well as a copy of the Birth Certificate, are required.

ACCEPTANCE FEE: $35.00 per application (Cash or Debit/Credit Card Only) - DO NOT INCLUDE WITH PASSPORT APPLICATION FEE

EXPEDITED FEES

$60.00 per Passport application

$19.53 for 1- to 2-day delivery service (optional)

Expedited fees are the same for Adult and Minor Passport applications

PROCESSING TIMES

  • REGULAR - can take up to 8 weeks
  • EXPEDITED - can take up to 3 weeks 

ADULT RENEWALS/FEES

Adult renewals are done through the mail. Adult renewals only processed in person, IF:

  • Your most recent Passport has been damaged, lost, stolen, or if it has been expired for more than five years
  • You were 16 years of age when your most recent Passport was issued.

For renewals by mail, you will need to mail the following:

  • Form DS-82 filled out in black ink
  • A certified copy of your Marriage Certificate or court order if your name has changed
  • Check or Money Order
  • One recent Passport photo
  • Your expired Passport
  • For more information on renewing your Passport, please refer to travel.state.gov 

If the Passport was issued 16 years or more ago, the applicant must use a Passport Agent. The Edmonds Municipal Court will process the application using the same procedure and fees as a new Passport Application.

Renewal Fees are the same as a normal Passport Application.

  • Adults - Bring prior Passport and valid Driver's License.
  • Children- Bring prior Passport, original certified Birth Certificate

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING

  • Completed DS-11 filled out in black ink only. Print single sided. Do not pre-sign or attach your photo to the application.
  • 2 Passport Photos - size 2" x 2" (we do not provide Passport photos).
  • Identification and proof of U.S. Citizenship. Please refer to travel.state.gov for acceptable forms of identification and proof of U.S. Citizenship. 
  • All certificates (i.e., Birth Certificates, Naturalization Certificates, etc.) must be originals. Please refer to travel.state.gov for proof of U.S. Citizenship.
  • Payment in the form of Check or Money Order for each application, plus separate payment for Acceptance fee (cash or debit/credit card only).
