For the 2025/26 biennium, per ordinance, City of Edmonds non-mandated boards, committees and commissions are suspended. Some boards and commissions may hold an occasional Special Meeting by permission. The Edmonds Arts Commission is one such commission.  Notice of a Special Meeting will be posted on the City's website. Link: Meeting Agendas and Minutes.

Founded in 1975, the City of Edmonds Arts Commission (EAC) ensures the arts are a vital part of our community's quality of life, economic vitality and central identity.

The commission is comprised of seven appointed Commissioners who are residents of Edmonds and who serve staggered four-year terms. By ordinance, four of the positions require a professional background in the arts. The EAC supports the Cultural Services programs (see below) and is empowered to advise and make recommendations to the Mayor, City Council or other City commissions or boards on matters pertaining to the arts.
