Staff is currently working on developing the code for 'Middle Housing' as well as a permanent ordinance for the 'Neighborhood Centers and Hubs'.

This page shows the upcoming community engagement activities/ opportunities. 

Online Open House – Thursday, March 13, 2025 (6:00-7:30 PM)

The Online Open House will provide an overview of:

  • Providing small-scale commercial and multifamily opportunities in newly defined Neighborhood Centers and Hubs; and
  • “Middle housing” options (based on a state requirement to allow at least two units per lot in all residential zones).

The session will include presentations on project milestones and an interactive Q&A.

Neighborhood Centers + Hubs Walk & Talks (March 27, 28, 31)

Walk & Talks offer a 90-minute guided walking discussion at designated Neighborhood Centers and Hubs. The session will focus on the unique characteristics of each area, getting input on opportunities and concerns. Maps will be provided for written comments, and photos can be submitted to the City along with feedback.

   12.00 pm West Edmonds Way: Meet at the traffic island across the street from Kabella’s Pizza.
   2.00 pm Firdale  Village: Meet on the sidewalk in front of Firdale Village.
 March 28  10.00 am Five Corners: Meet at the street corner near BARC parking lot.
   12.00 pm Medical District Expansion: Meet at the SE corner of 212th St. SW and 80th Ave. W.
   2.00 pm South Lake Ballinger: Meet at the SW corner at 76th Ave W and 242nd St. SW.
 March 31  10.00 am Maplewood: Meet on 86th Ave W near Edmonds Adventist Church
   12.00 pm East Seaview: Meet at the NE corner of 76th Ave W and 196th St SW 
   2.00 pm North Bowl: Meet on the sidewalk adjacent to the Shell Station.

 

Participants are encouraged to bring comfortable walking shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, and cameras to document their observations. Public parking may be limited. We encourage walking or biking to events if feasible.

Unable to attend the walk tours., but would still like to participate ?

For those unable to attend in person, the same activity can be done at your own pace. Below are the maps for each center and hub that you can download. There is a QR code that provides you an option to send us the photos you would like to send us.
