In 2010, the City of Edmonds entered into a 20-year Interlocal Agreement with South County Fire to provide fire, emergency medical, and fire prevention services to our City.
Under terms of the Agreement, SCFD #1 staffs the City&'s three fire stations 24/7. The fire stations are located in Edmonds at:
- Fire Station 17 * 275 - 6th Avenue N
- Fire Station 16 * 8429 - 196th Street SW
- Fire Station 20 * 23009 - 88th Avenue W
Each city station is staffed by one Fire Captain, one Firefighter/EMT and one Firefighter/Paramedic. The Fire Chief of South County Fire is designated as the City Fire Chief. The regional fire authority also provides a Fire Marshal and Fire Inspector local to the City.
