Highway 99, Westgate, and Perrinville Neighborhood Roundtable Discussions Taking Place July 13th, 14th, and 18th

The final three of six neighborhood roundtable discussions for the Reimagining Neighborhoods and Streets project have been scheduled.
  • The Highway 99/Lake Ballinger Neighborhood discussion will take place on Wednesday, July 13th at 6pm at the Sunset Office Building located at 23607 Highway 99.
  • The Westgate discussion is taking place on Thursday, July 14th from 6:30 at The Trike Stop located at 23101 100th Ave W.
  • The Perrinville Neighborhood discussion will take place on Monday, July 18th at 6pm at the garage/lot located at 18502 76th Ave W.

The public is welcome to attend a roundtable discussion in any neighborhood, though we encourage participation in the neighborhood event most associated with where they live or work. This will help ensure voices of each neighborhood are heard. There are six neighborhood events taking place across the city. The Five Corners event took place June 22nd, the Downtown meeting was held on June 23rd and Firdale is scheduled for Thursday, July 7th at Hickman Park as previously announced.

These discussions are the second step in this new project, the first was a virtual kickoff meeting held on May 24th where approximately 70 community members participated in the kick-off workshop, which included instant survey questions and six breakout groups. You can view the recording of the presentation here.

At these in-person events, residents will have the opportunity to talk specifically about public space opportunities in their neighborhoods, to share their thoughts on how right-of-way space could be adapted to support community cohesion and economic development. Some activation ideas to consider include neighborhood street festivals, temporary art installations, outdoor dining and more.
