Mission
City of Edmonds Youth Commission is a youth-led commission whose mission is to
protect, preserve, and enhance the quality of life for Edmonds youth by
advising City Council and the public on issues relating to youth policies,
programs, and opportunities.
Terms
Members shall be appointed to a term of two (2) years beginning October 1st
and ending September 30th. Graduating seniors will be appreciated as they leave
the commission in June, and new appointments will be made for those vacant
positions the following October. Application and reference forms will be
available at the start of September.
Eligibility
To be eligible to serve on the commission you need to live within the City of
Edmonds city limits. Candidates must be entering grades 9 through 12 or be of
equivalent age if not enrolled in a traditional school program.
Applications for the 2025-26 program year will go live in August 2025. Please check back here for those details.

know the 2024-2025 Edmonds Youth Commissioners
Seat 1: Charlie Morgan
Charlie is a junior at Edmonds Woodway High School. Outside of school he enjoys being secretary and competing member of his schools speech and debate team. Charlie values inclusivity and acceptance and wants to spread kindness to the community of Edmonds.
Seat 2: Brenna Bardsley
Brenna is a sophomore at Meadowdale High School. She runs for her school’s cross country and track teams. Her favorite part of Edmonds is its strong sense of community. When she’s not on the run, Brenna enjoys volunteer work, skiing, and spending time with her family. She is passionate about keeping the Edmonds environment clean and healthy for generations to come.
Seat 3: Vivian Liao
Vivian is a senior at King's High School. She is the president of International Club and Community Outreach Club at her school. She loves bullet journaling, reading and drawing. She is passionate about youth mental health and connecting the community.
Seat 4: Joelle Walworth
Joelle is a senior at King's High School where she enjoys leading the Tea Club
and connecting with other students. Joelle joined the Youth Commission to spark
positive change for teens and Edmonds as a whole.
Seat 5: Stella Monroe
Stella is a sophomore at Bishop Blanchet High School. At Blanchet, she serves as a student ambassador and plays varsity softball. Stella enjoys traveling with her fast-pitch team, spending time with friends and playing with her dog, Vinny. Stella is committed to finding innovative ways to meet the Commission's goal of engaging in and serving youth in the community.
Seat 6: Amelia Miller
Amelia is a junior at Edmonds Woodway Highschool. She plays
varsity soccer, basketball, and tennis for her school, and club soccer on FCE.
She loves to watch the sunset, read, bake, and hang out with friends. Amelia is
excited to work to connect the youth of Edmonds with the community.
Seat 7: Lauren Tra
Lauren is a junior at Edmonds Woodway Highschool. She is a full IB student, and loves to swim, play the violin, and go to the beach in her free time. She is passionate about promoting mental health awareness for youth and wants to make a positive difference in her community. Lauren believes youth voices should be heard and recognized in our community.
Seat 8: Lucy Lakefish
Lucy is a junior at Edmonds Woodway High School. She cares about her community
and wants it to thrive at its best potential. Lucy is enthusiastic about being
on the Youth Commission and contributing new ideas. Out of school, Lucy enjoys
walking her dog around the neighborhood and taking her boat out in the
sound.
Seat 9: Lydia Abuni
Lydia is a junior at Edmonds Woodway High School. She is a full IB student but also partakes in several extracurricular activities such as DECA, National Honor Society, and Key Club at her school and volunteers regularly. Lydia looks forward to making positive change through the Youth Commission and is especially passionate about inclusivity and diversity.

Seat 11 (alternate): Dylan Sun
Dylan is a freshman at Lakeside High School. At
Lakeside, he rows for the varsity crew team and plays trumpet in the jazz
band. Dylan enjoys spending time with friends, traveling, trying unique
foods, and watching Seattle sports. Dylan is very passionate about connecting
the elderly and the youth in Edmonds.
