Medical, Dental and Vision
The City of Edmonds offers group Medical, Dental and Vision insurance benefits to regular part-time and full-time employees. Premiums are paid by the City for employees at 100% and for dependents at 90%. Please see the below linked documents for detailed cost-share information.
Council Members receive a cash benefit each month equal to 100% of the employee premium on the highest cost medical plan, the dental plan and the vision plan. Council members who choose to enroll in benefits will have the cash benefit will be reduced by the cost of the benefits elected.
Life, AD&D and LTD
Life Insurance, Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D), and Long-Term Disability (LTD) benefits are also available to regular part-time and full-time employees. Some of these benefits are automatically available to employees at no cost and others are paid for by the employee. Voluntary options are also available for some benefits and are paid for by the employee through payroll deductions.
