The Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services, located at the Frances Anderson Center, serves as the community's key resource for providing parks, open space, recreation programs, and cultural arts for the enjoyment of Edmonds citizens and visitors to the community. The Department plays a vital role in many aspects of community life, with staff liaisons to the Edmonds Library Board, the Edmonds Memorial Cemetery Board, the Planning/Parks Board, and the Edmonds Arts Commission. Parks & Recreation Facility and Program Update

The City of Edmonds Parks, Recreation & Cultural Services Department appreciates and recognizes the physical and mental value of recreation, exercise and being outside. At this time all Parks and most Recreation Facilities are OPEN.

As a City we remain committed to the safety of our community and urge park users who are eligible to get fully vaccinated and please stay home if you are sick.  

The Frances Anderson Center is OPEN  to the public 8:30 am - 8 pm Monday - Friday (closed on weekends). The facility is available to rent and to participate in camps & classes. More information on rentals can be found on the facility rentals page.    Masks are required when inside for all unvaccinated individuals.   


Yost Pool is OPEN,  it is operated by the Dale Turner YMCA.

The Hazel Miller Spray Park at City Park is OPEN

  • Operating Hours are 10 am - 8 pm - 7 days a week
  • Spray Pad users are not required to wear face coverings, but they must stay physically distanced from one another unless they are from the same household or are fully vaccinated. 

Fishing Pier, fish wash stations and public restroom are OPEN.

Outdoor Sports Courts

  • Outdoor Basketball and Tennis/Pickleball Courts and Sand Volleyball at Marina Beach are open for drop in use. 

Civic Park - CLOSING Due to 

  • Civic Park will be closing for construction in late July / Early August for approximately two years.  The entire park including the Skate Park, Petanque Courts, Track, fields, etc. will not be available to the public until construction is completed. We apologize for the inconvenience but look forward to the beautiful new park to enjoy when it is over. 


 Off Leash Area (Dog Park) at Marina Beach is OPEN

  • As a reminder dogs ARE NOT allowed on any of Edmonds Beaches except in the Off Leash Dog Park at Marina Beach. For a complete list of Dog Park rules visit the O.L.A.E. webpage

Sports Fields

  • Sports Fields are open for drop in use.
  • Field rental requests are being accepted (425-771-0229 or and additional information about field rentals can be found on the rental page.

Picnic Shelters, City Park Pavilion and City Park Gazebo are available for rental.  

  • These amenities are available for reservation April - September; additional information can be found on the  facility rentals page.
  • They are available on a first-come, first-serve basis October - March, water is not available.

Meadowdale Clubhouse - will re-open for rentals in Fall 2021.
