Summer 2019

Here in Edmonds there is a good reason we reorient our mindset for the summer to outdoor activities, camps and fun! It’s because Edmonds is brimming with things to do. Fabulous parks, special programing, family events, shopping, and cultural experiences abound during the summer months.

Parks and open spaces… we have many, 48 to be exact, along with two miles of shoreline, an underwater dive park, hiking trails, and a Marsh where you can view all sorts of aquatic wildlife.

From July through late August the Edmonds Arts Commission hosts its “Summer Concerts” series at City Park and Hazel Miller Plaza. With a variety of music and entertainment, there’s sure to be something for everybody. And at the Port of Edmonds Public Plaza you can listen to award winning musicians from the Edmonds School District as part of the “Sea Jazz” concert series which runs from June through September 1.

Need some fresh produce for a summer picnic; flowers for a special occasion; perhaps some smoked fish? Well the Edmonds Saturday Summer Market’s got you covered. It’s a great place to pick-up unique gifts, bump into your neighbors, grab a bite to eat, or just people watch.

How about Art Walk Edmonds, the FREE community event held monthly on the third Thursday from 5-8 pm where you can celebrate the arts and enjoy food, music and community… or perhaps the last Summer Wine Walk scheduled for Saturday, August 3rd.

And along with all of this there are: outstanding restaurants, interesting shops, beautiful galleries, and summer programs and camps for kids, all located throughout our community from the International District to Five Corners, from Westgate to Downtown to the Waterfront.

Yep, not too much to do this summer in Edmonds! Enjoy!
