Update on Edmonds
NAMH logo HIGHresOctober is National Arts & Humanities Month (NAHM), a coast-to-coast recognition of the importance of culture in America. Established in 1993, NAHM is a month-long celebration focusing on the arts at local, state, and national levels.

The program encourages individuals and organizations to participate in the arts and offers a vehicle for local government agencies and businesses to show their support for the arts. The program's goal is to raise awareness of the integral role the arts and humanities play in our communities and daily lives.

At the October 1st Edmonds City Council meeting, Mayor Earling will declare October "Arts & Humanities Month in Edmonds". Residents are encouraged to participate in, or attend a humanities program or arts event in Edmonds. A representative list of events and presentations in October can be found in the Edmonds Arts Commission Arts Bulletin.
