Update on Edmonds
2019 BirdFestCalling all artists! The annual Puget Sound Bird Fest Poster Art Contest is accepting entries of original artwork to be used on the 2019 Puget Sound Bird Fest poster for promotion the fall event. Puget Sound area artists are invited to submit original artwork representative of Puget Sound bird life to be used on the 2019 Puget Sound Bird Fest poster for promotion of the event taking place September 13-15 in Edmonds.

Each year the Puget Sound Bird Fest Planning Committee selects a theme for the event poster based on the selection of the Friday night Keynote Event speaker. This year’s Bird Fest theme is Shorebirds in the Pacific Northwest in recognition of the 2019 Keynote presentation by Tim Boyer, renowned photographer and shorebird expert.

The poster format is 11” X 17”, portrait orientation. A $200 prize, sponsored by Edmonds Arts Festival Foundation, will be awarded to the winner. The winner may display and offer for sale the framed original and prints during Puget Sound Bird Fest. No photography or digital art will be accepted.

More information and entry form available at http://www.pugetsoundbirdfest.org/ or email jennifer.leach@edmondswa.gov. Entrants must be 18 years or older and are limited to one entry per person. Entries must be received by 5pm June 21, 2019.
