When the Edmonds School District is closed, or has a delayed start, all Parks & Rec morning classes are canceled.  Call us after Noon to verify status of afternoon and evening classes 425-771-0230.

 

MAKE YOUR 2018 PICNIC SHELTER RESERVATION PLANS

Edmonds Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services will begin taking reservations for picnic shelters for the 2018 season on Monday, February 5 at 9am in person at the Frances Anderson Center (700 Main Street) or Tuesday, February 6 at 9am by phone at 425-771-0230. Shelters can be rented from April 1 through September 30. City Park has three shelters and a gazebo and Hickman Park has one shelter that can be reserved for your enjoyment. The cost per shelter Monday thru Thursdays is $125 and Friday thru Sundays the cost is $150 at Hickman Park or $175 at City Park. The City Park gazebo is $60 per reservation. City Park Ball field reservations are $12 (Residents) or $14 (Non Residents) per hour with a three hour maximum. PLAY SOFTBALL ON NEW TURF FIELDS AT MEADOWDALE

Register for Adult Men’s, Women’s and Coed Softball Leagues.  Sign up for the night of week you want to play (pending availability) Sunday-Friday.  The $695 league fee includes 10 games (5 double headers) with the top 4 team in each division qualifying for a single elimination tournament.  USSSA team affiliation fee included.  Games officiated by USSSA and played at Meadowdale Playfields weekdays starting at 6:05pm and Sundays at 5pm. For daughters and their dads, or a caring adult, enjoy dancing, a live DJ, and cookies, popcorn and punch. All ages welcome. Saturday, February 24 from 6:30-8pm at the Edmonds Senior Center Upstairs Ballroom (220 Railroad Avenue).  Photos will be available for purchase.  Tickets sell out fast so don't wait.  Tickets will not be sold at the door.  Tickets are $12.50 per person and $6 for each additional daughter.

Best Book I Ever Read Poster Contest Exhibit

April 20 – May 18 - Forty winning posters are exhibited in the main hall of the Frances Anderson Center. The Best Book I Ever Read Poster Contest, now in its 21st year, promotes reading and visual art for Third Grade students in Edmonds schools. Students are invited to submit posters through their school featuring artwork representing a favorite book.  The program is a partnership of the City of Edmonds Arts Commission, Edmonds School District and Friends of the Edmonds Library. 425-771-0228
