WINTER FILM SERIES
Join the Edmonds Library and the Edmonds Arts Commission Sunday afternoons this winter for a new film series featuring four films adapted from literature in thought-provoking ways for contemporary audiences. Following each screening, a moderated discussion will be held about the film makers' interpreation of the original novels. All screenings begin at 1 pm in the Edmonds Plaza Room (above the Edmonds Library, 650 Main St). Admission is free.
January 26, 2020: Jane Austen's Mansfield Park1999 film adaption written and directed by Patricia Rozema
February 9, 2020: Phillip K. Dick's Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? 1982 film adaption, Blade Runner,directed by Ridley Scott
February 23, 2020: Edith Wharton's The Age of Innocence1993 film adaption co-written and directed by Martin Scorsese
March 1, 2020: David Benioff's 25th Hour2002 film adaption directed by Spike Lee
MUSIC AT THE LIBRARY
Edmonds Arts Commission and the Edmonds Librarya's fourth annual musical series, Musicat the Library, continues this winter with two presentations guaranteed to warm up cold winter days ahead. All presentations are in the Edmonds Plaza Room (above the Edmonds Library, 650 Main St). Admission is free.
February 8, 2020 @ 2 PM: Wintergrass Festival Preview and Jam Session, featuring Cliff Perry and friends. Enjoy a performance, followed by an open jam session guided by band members. bring your instrument and join the fun!
