The City of Edmonds Arts Commission presents the 27th annual Write on the Sound (WOTS) Conference on October 5 – 7. The historic Frances Anderson Center in Edmonds, WA is an ideal setting for unraveling the mysteries of writing. This unique and affordable conference hosts a capacity 250 attendees. Attracting presenters and participants from the Northwest, far flung states, and abroad, Saturday and Sunday workshops offer over thirty sessions on craft, marketing, and specialty writing topics. Fiction, non-fiction, poetry, YA, social networking and creativity are only some of the choices.

Saturday’s Keynote speaker is Carla Neggers, a NY Times and USA Today best-selling author. The keynote is open to the public and takes place at 1 pm on Saturday, October 6, at the Edmonds Theater. Tickets are $15 adult/$10 student and may be purchased in advance at 425-771-0228.   Also that evening, attend a public reception and book signing by conference authors, including Carla Neggers, travel writer and TV personality Rick Steves and Washington State Poet Laureate Kathleen Flenniken. Reception and book signing is held in the Edmonds Plaza Room on October 6, 5:45-7:00 pm. 

Registration online starts August 1 at Early registration rate for conference (October 6-7) is $127, after September 4, regular rate is $147. Pre-Conference Workshops are $70.
