General Permit Assistance

The City used a biennial City Budget (2008-2010) which was to be prepared every two years.
Due to the economic downturn of 2008-2010, the City's financial situation has been carefully managed since 2011 and preparation of the budget has been on a year to year basis and greatly discussed.

At all meetings listed below, the public will have an opportunity to provide comments regarding the budget.

 

September 25 – Budget Review Work Session
  • High-level overview of department budget, including major changes, service level impacts of any proposed reductions, etc.
  • Preview of budget charts, tables, policies, etc.

 

October 9 – Finance Committee review of property tax ordinance
 
October 16 – Presentation of Preliminary Budget
  • High-level overview of budget assumptions, major revenue sources, expenditures by fund and department.

2019 Development Fees

New development fees - available here - as of January 1, 2019.

 

Sign Code Updated

The City's sign code has recently been updated, modifying how downtown sidewalk signs are regulated as well as improving some other more general sign code provisions. A summary can be found here, along with an application form.

 

Building Codes Updated

The 2015 International Building Codes as adopted by the City of Edmonds take effect on July 1, 2016.
